A recent post on the IRSA message board said that June 14 is now listed on the Bank of New York ADR site as the dividend payment date for the IRSA dividend due late last year. When I just checked, that was correct. Since IRSA and CRESY are related, I also checked for CRESY. Also shows June 14. I have no idea how new this information is. This is the first time I have looked at this website.
Of course, the website disclaims all responsibility for the accuracy of the information. Anyway, hopeful.
If you decide to check this, go to BNY Mellon's ADR pages and then to "DR Dividends & Distributions." You will have to then download a spreadsheet for the relevant portion of the alphabet and then scroll through until you find CRESY.
Thanks for the information. Although I would rather have the cash in US$, management could consider paying the dividend in shares if that would be a legal workaround of the Argentinian prohibition on paying out US$. It would seem that company lawyers could figure out a way to make Cresud a responsible company even though it is headquartered in an irresponsible country. Peter
