Aon has grown almost 32% since it's merger with J&H!
appx 1997 pps appx 22

Change =~ 218.2%
In appx 14 years, 10 months Aon has increased about 14.7% per year.
Meanwhile, their most significant competitor, MMC has been floundering ever since!
Compare aon to the dow from 1985 to present. It's followed the dow pretty closely except for the times when bad management ate all the profits. I don't know why anyone would own this stock. It's equivalent to an unstable index fund. The dividend sucks so what does this company really have going for it?
Your math is wrong. If the share price doubles from 22 to 48 it's a 100+% increase. Not a 200+% increase.
I think you have a future in PR.
Now look at a 2 year chart and see what you get.
You are opening yourself up to an argument from the SHILL department. Oh, I know it well.
GREG RAISED SHAREHOLDER VALUE, HE FIRED ALL THE IT DEADWOOD, HE CUT EXPENSES, CUT STAFF, REDUCED EXPENSES, GO GREG, GOGOGOGOGO.
yeah, pitiful bad. It will come, trust me. OK shills, start lining up.
Comparing 1997 to 2012 is nuts. You can pick any point along the time line and say great things or lousy things. There was one point, just one, where it hit $50. And it stayed at around $19 for all of the Ryan years, was not until SuperMcKinsey arrived that it went up and has stayed in the mid to high 40s ever since.
