shorted in after hours on less than stellar guidance and much higher capex next quarter
Analysts unhappy on the call given that Q2 typically is a pretty strong quarter but the company is essentially guiding for flat revenues qoq based on the fact that the company experienced some early ordering in Q1.
Additionally capex next quarter will triple to around $2 mln weighing on margins. Given the parabolic rise in the share price since the pre-announcement I would expect the shares to take a HUGE dive tomorrow and shares to more down to the $15-16 range.
Hey hageneriksson ... "Shorted in after hours (Thursday April 24th) ...," ehhh ?!?
1. How did your short work out for you ??
2. Your post had no affect on Mr.Market.
3. Did your wife ... push you out of the second story bedroom window ... causing you to take a HUGE dive
on the driveway below ??
4. Please update our AFOP Board. Thank you.
So I'm curious but when you short do you just file the brokers confirm in your top bureau drawer and hold it like gold certificate for your 14 year olds college fund and then when the kid turns 18 you open that drawer, pull the confirm out, cover the short -- with a real big profit -- and feel like a financial genius....or what?
Probably a good short depending on what price you got, anything over $17.50-$17.80 then you got a good short. Anything under that and I wouldn't get too excited. This is a hot space and I think anything under $17 gets bought up fairly quickly.
Any upgrades in the AM and things might not go your way. I grabbed a few long shares at $16.69 and I'll put a big chunk in at $15.00 for a gap fill. I couldn't justify a short in any of the prices offered in after market, not worth the risk for me.
