    Vestin cross-purchase?

    Today I see where Vestin I is buying Vestin II shares -AND- , wonder of wonders, Vestin II is buying Vestin I shares. {See in Yahoo's company news}

    Does ANYBODY out there have any idea why Shustek is doing this rather than lending money for real estate?

    • I believe this is just a short term investment expecting market appreciation which can always be sold if money needed for loans.

    • The NAV of the companies are over $9.00 a share.
      Where are you going to get a 50% return on investment as soon as you buy the stock?

      I loaded up when VRTB was under $6. I put in to buy some VRTA @ 5.25 today but didn't get it. It shot up way past it.

      To the fellow that called us morons for opening up the stock. First, If you still have problems using this simple message board, are you the pot calling the kettle black. Second, I couldn't have gotten out until 2014. Third, with the shares of VRTB that I bought under 6, my average purchase price per share is 7. I should be even in another a week. 9% dividend on my net purchse price is not bad. Beats a CD.
