New gunshop opened last week about 5 miles from me. Private company that has several stores in the state. I had time for a quick look at their good supply of S$W, PPKs, Rugers, and Taurus handguns. Two sales guys and one gal selling and buyers lined up. Plenty of long guns also, rifles, shotguns, ARs. I ask if guns were selling well. The reply "Oh Yes". We shall prosper. slim
flowerpetal, all, If you dont mind me asking. How do you pack the 638 for concealed carry, (purse, fannypack?) when you are walking, shopping, eating out? I am shopping for a concealed carry gun for a lady who is the blue jeans type mostly. Any information will be appreciated. What make or type of carry "holster or bag" do you recommend. thanks, slim
Go to a dealer and handle both the 638 and the 340, I'd bet money that you won't want the 638 and will choose the 340. One big reason behind the higher cost of the 340 is the scandium alloy frame, I've read that scandium is some six times more expensive than GOLD. The 340 is well worth the entry fee in my opinion but if you're gonna shoot .357 through it be prepared for stout recoil, shooting .357 through this light gun is not for everybody, but of course you can shoot .38 but I prefer .357 myself.
