My son and I went to our favorite gun store tonight here in northern Illinois. Monday nights are not usually busy there. As we pulled up we were surprised at what we saw. The parking lot was nearly FULL. There was even a squad car keeping an eye on things. Inside, the place was packed. There was a waiting list for the gun range. Upstairs there was a huge line at the check out counter. EVERYONE was buying. The store is always very well stocked but tonight there were many empty spots on the walls and shelves. There was a large mix of people. Young, old, lots of women. People in camo pants and several men in suits. The clerks all seemed tired and worn out. While paying for our purchases I asked how things were going and he stated he has worked there for years but this weekend was the busiest he has ever seen.
same story here. i had planned to buy an assault rifle this week after some overtime. the guns i wanted are now sold out. will have to put one on order that i want. the owner had the same story that the store was packed and they had sold out of the gun i wanted in 3-4 hours.
