via an FBI swipe card that validates YOU [the good guy] have a right to purchase, records said purchase, and desimminates information via a data base to all law enforcement officials to provide current information when approaching vehicles or domestic dispute situations. No gun or ammo transaction will be permitted without the FBI swipe card; ie--personal sale, gun show sale, etc. Online sales of guns and ammo will be phased out allowing only in person purchases. This law does not infringe any law abiding citizen the right to purchase but does under the commerce clause begin to keep guns out of the hands of felons, etc. Fines equal to the original cost of the purchase shall be imposed if that purchase can not be proven to be in your control thus penalizing private sales. Move this out twenty years and the [bad] guys will be coming up empty. By the way, this new way of thinking[law] is gaining ground in influential circles. People are having a hard time shooting it down.
What makes you think that criminals will not have access to guns and ammo if there is a swipe card? The New York wacko who set the fire and killed firemen was not allowed to have a gun in his possession because he was a convicted felon. Yet, he had several guns. Needing a swipe card will not stop criminals from possessing firearms. All it does is to record the names and addresses of honest citizens in legal possession of guns and ammo, so that when the government wants to seize these things, they know exactly where to go.
Gun shows and private sales--that's how. Both will be allowed under the Swipe Card Law but felons like him won't get them. A gun sold outside of the swipe card law brings punishing results--fines, loss of dealers license, incarceration. Swipe card puts guns in the hands of law abiding
So you think a new law will keep criminals from getting guns? Let's see, drugs are illegal, do people get them? Alcohol was illegal in the early 1900's, did people get it?
You guys would be laughable if not for all the damage you cause. You and your idiotic desire to have every aspect of your life regulated by government. Guess what, most Americans will not stand for your dream of government control.
Maybe we need to have stiffer penalties for the offenders? The fireman shooter was a murderer, how come he was released?
Quit penalizing the law abiding citizens because criminals are breaking the law. Especially when people like you have made life easier on convicted criminals to be released.
