and you thouught the universal background checks were about saving lives---naive you---
once in force you the gun owner will be required to carry liability insurance for your guns---the higher the caliber the more expensive the premium, the larger the clip the higher the premium---lobbying rocks
So to continue with this stupidity, should there be liability insurance required for knives, chainsaws, clubs and baseball bats as well, because these can be used by criminals to inflict bodily harm on others ?
Captain, you misunderstood my post, the insurance being talked about is personal liability much like if you have a pit bull or trampoline on your premise---guns are being talked about in the same vein---it's personal not corporate, what is being discussed is proof of insurance will be required to purchase a gun----not an imaginary thing-start googling
So what would be the rationale for extorting money (liability insurance) out of legal gun owners who have not committed any crime?
There are already laws against criminal or negligent acts which may be committed with guns and civil law suits can ensue based upon that. Why should this be subsidized by legal gun owners who have not committed any crime or caused an injurious accident due to carelessness?
by tthe way jennam---I'm a gun owner too , you misunderstood my post. The insurance on guns going forward is what is being discussed in certain circles. Insurance companies are licking their chops-- it'll be a bigger market thann autos--it's always about the MONEY
