According to Highlands Today, Lanier was driving around Sebring, Fla., with his dog riding shotgun (pun not intended). The dog—unnamed, but we'll call him Clint—accidentally kicked the weapon, which Lanier had thought was unloaded. It wasn't.
The gun went off, and Lanier saw smoke coming from it as well as a newly acquired hole in his leg. The report from Highlands Today explains that Sebring police "did not arrest the dog." An investigation is ongoing.
The moral of this story is of course guns don’t shoot people, dogs shoot people. Is it also true that the only thing that will stop a bad dog with a gun is a good dog with it gun?
According to Bob Woodward, the gun was another of Eric Holders guns. His program to supply criminals with assault weapons was not just dedicated to Mexico, but the US as well. "No one will suspect a thing if we use dogs".
