You can vote on BVX Board members + other items on line as part of Shareholder proxy voting. I believe this is for stockholders who will not attend the annual meeting.
Stockholder's meeting is October 18th. Anybody going?
Sarameg, you can't vote "against," and because there's not a competing slate of directors to vote for, you can only withhold your votes. We all do it, but it's an exercise in futility. Just on anecdotal evidence, I believe those of us posting on this board control upwards of 500,000 shares. Unfortunately, that's not nearly enough to cause even a stir. The three stooges of management and this keystone kops of a board can't be removed unless Renn leads an opposition. And that's not going to happen, at least not this year.
From 2011 Proxy Card:
INSTRUCTION: To withhold authority to vote for any individual nominee(s), mark “FOR ALL EXCEPT” and check the box next to each nominee you wish to withhold authority.
On the proxy forwarded by my broker, I'm sure you could vote for or against any director.
A vote against is more than just a withheld vote, correct?
Disclosing votes for, votes withheld and the number of shares not voted would tell you more than that.
Well, to hide shareholder disgust. Is this a trick question?
If you can't vote the bums out, why would Bovie skew the actual results of last year's ASM? Votes Withheld vs. Votes for?
Unbelievable. This experience has taught me that Wall Street is a complete scam. The common shareholder exists to get fleeced.
Usually on the proxy statements I receive there are instructions for voting electronically, but I didn't see that on the latest Bovie proxy statement.
Does anyone have instructions for voting online?
thanks.
