PRAA had record earnings and collections last quarter. ECPG also doing very very well, I do not believe that receivable portfolios are hard to buy at a fair price based on what these two public debt buyers are reporting. But, both collect their receivables in house and control their own destiny, unlike ASFI who in the past had a collection company go bankrupt on them. The big question is that the participants in these two new funding deals get profit, do they also kick in cash for any losses if they occur? Lets wait and see.
