I'm new to CAT... I know it has a lot of credibility and is a very reliable stock with strong fundamentals. From a quick look of the chart, looks like the stock has been raising in recent year in a fast-pace. So I guess I'm quite confident with the historical background and such.
Just wondering if anyone can provide any concrete suggestions before I decided to dive more into this stock before earning...

I love the CAT!! Bought 400 CAT shares when it dipped to 102 this week and it has just gone up since. Holding on at least until the earnings are announced. I think the earnings will be positive. Looking for 115 in the near future.
Absolutely. CAT will exceed earnings estimates next week without a doubt. Their quarter is very strong in emerging markets as it has been in recent quarters. Emerging markets has been a key part of the global expansion story and no stock better than CAT. I would not hesitate getting in here if prior to earning, especially if you see a little dip before it starts picking up steam and eventually moving full speed ahead.
