Hey Ben, what do you think? October three month average sales were higher than September. It was up in every region of the world. It was only 8% YOY but still better than September. Even EAME was up. The US was up 13%, a strong showing going in the winter. Q3 conference call said they thought dealers would be paring down inventory and shipments would be less than sales. But what if dealers don't do that. It appears the PDC common inventory system is working pretty well and dealers may just be reducing Cat's visibility to firm orders because they are becoming confident that Cat can deliver from the PDC on short notice. I'm not saying that I believe it but it is possible and if it's true Q4 won't be as weak as everyone expects..
