Toll CEO probably just trying to talk the market up. A good friend just bought a house in Ft. Meyers area on a man-made lake. Two years ago the house was on the market for 449,000 and never sold. This winter it went on the market for 299,000. He paid 252,000 two months ago. Another friend just bought a home in Verona Walk, a Pulte development in Naples. Its base price in the brochure was 379,000 w/o extras. He paid 337,000 with some extras in March. The developer stopped building for spec and will now only build AFTER the unit has been sold. Kona Grill unit in Naples is not doing all that well because the area is too seasonable and not enough younger office/working people to get the happy-hour patio to work its magic. Kona's drinks aren't that great anyway. I recently had a cosmo that was WAY-Short on vodka. I almost sent it back, but just decided to order Arnold Palmers in the future, or maybe a glass of wine. But the food was very good. Kona, if you are listening, jack up the alcohol content of your drinks. Its not as if you are serving Grey Goose or Belvedere.
