I gotta believe there were many investors/traders who were disappointed in the information which was presented at the Roth Conference. The expectations were for the company to raise guidance, and it didn't happen.

    • Divi made a good point about the avg holding period for EZPW traders/investors. 3-month volumes around 500k a day vs a float of ~10.83 million shares means every 22 trading days or once a month the average share turns over. If gold prices were to collapse do you think the momo IBDers would wait around for those new stores to mature over the next few years?

      • This is one of the good things about paying dividends is that encourages a much more *stable* investor base. Share buybacks tend to do this as well but to much lesser extent.

The overliquidity of EZPW combined with small number of shares out greatly contributes to the volatility. To put things into perspective XOM, takes about 270 days to turnover.
