Force Protection, Inc. manufactures and distributes vehicles that protect and save lives and property. Its subsidiary, Technical Solutions Group, Inc., (TSG) manufactures and markets military vehicles that are protected against landmines and hostile fire. These vehicles are typically used to transport personnel safely in areas infested with landmines and for the actual removal of landmines.

Typhoon is designed to excel in urban combat, low intensity conflicts, troop transport, and patrol duty. The incorporation of sophisticated armor for improved ballistic and side-blast protection makes it highly suitable for use in areas plagued by Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs, or so-called roadside bombs).

Lion is a military class vehicle designed with the latest in blast and ballistic protection technology. In addition the vehicle can be configured to protect against Nuclear, Biological, or Chemical threats. The vehicle can withstand a significant explosion on any wheel, anyplace under the vehicle and from the side. The all-welded armored capsule and glass is ballistically protected and capable of resisting small arms fire. As an additional safeguard, Virtual Electronic Windows are an available option.

Buffalo, A versatile and advanced example of modern military equipment, TSG's Buffalo combines the protection of South African monocoque capsule design and American automotive technology. The result of years of technological development in war torn Southern Africa, the knowledge behind the vehicle is extensive. • you dont understand the politics of DOD contract and purchasing. The big boys who make equipment for the U.S. military are on the inside and has heavy lobby to get their product on the DOD want list. This company is too small to squeeze in there unless they got something that really stands out. Anti-bomb vehicle is nothing new and their best is probably at best no better (probably less armored) than a bradley and definitely not better armored than the abrams. The other big threat besides IEDs to armor in Iraq is the RPGs fitted with anti-tank rounds and that would penetrate the rhino they have advertised easily is my guess.

      • Dude I was right look at the specs for Rhino:

The RHINO is a low profile, combat capable, 8x6 or 8x8 16-ton vehicle. It has an 11 ton payload and is capable of carrying up to a 35-mm weapon in a standard turret, or a missile system in a concealed remote turret. Rhino carries up to 14 personnel, which includes the driver and weapons crew. Land mine protection is excellent, with triple mine blast protection on any wheel, as well as single mine protection anywhere underneath the vehicle. Ballistic protection is 50 caliber in the front and in many places on the sides and 7.62 x 54mm armor piercing elsewhere. Forget about withstanding an RPG round of anykind. Dont hold your breath about the U.S. buying from these guys anytime soon. Also you see how many employees the have? That is right 33. You think 33 guys build all that stuff? Thats right they probably buy it from someone else. U.S. is not going to buy military hardware from another country for its main use. Forget it.

    • You have been a pretty good source of info. Thanks! I did sell all my Mags today and will get in if the price is right. It is difficult to resist 120% PROFIT IN 3 DAYS.

    • Would you take it slowly? There is time for it to rise from the dust. No need to pump so hard.
