    Late for the Ball

This afternoon I have been looking at some security stocks, dvs, mags, tbus, ipix and synx. All have enjoyed a run-up, could anyone suggest a reason for one to be a good choice for my Roth, and maybe a good entry level? Thanks, you have no reason to help, but it may help those of us who come late to the security area.

    • These are speculative trading stocks. These are not the kinds of stocks you need in a roth account.

    • Personally, I am not that familiar with the others....but MAGS has had a "bounce off it's bottom, at best. MAGS came down from 38 to 8, now it is 10. So I don't think you are late at all. MAGS has earnings coming out this Thursday.

Otherwise check the charts on each. These security stocks are "commodity" driven, that being the terror premium. Many of these small companies have grown up literally overnight, and can be just one former military person with a cell phone and voicemail. MAGS has been around for 22 years, and has a lot of steady business just with places like prisons and power plants, etc. With all the bombings, it has been more important for nations to build fences for their main borders and on some internal ones as well. So , imo, the prospects look good for MAGS, but info on the company is scant for several reasons, mainly for privacy to the client reasons.

Watch this week's release and listen to the CC. The CEO is like 74 y/o, but still he is pretty in tune with the world's problems, and check out ths MAGS website.
