    Stupid, stupid, stupid

I guess what's bugging me over the last few days is just how stupid and manipulative the management seems to be.

The company was doing well, the momentum was good, announcements were good, a sale/merger made sense.

And then they go and try to sneak a bunch of personal benefits into the fine print of the financial statement.

    Stupid.

not much bugging me about the stock over the last few days.

now if I were short... I would be pissed.

steady climb, and we all know one day after close or before open the headline will read "IMAX BUYOUT BY...."

probably at somewhere around $19 per share.

so, don't let the little things bug you.
sit back and enjoy the ride.

There are some funds holding short on IMAX betting on exactly that.

Gelfond/Wechsler not only believe they are investment wonderkinds they say so ala Gelfonds "Brad and I are extremely sophisticated on these kinds of things" quote.

There are other investment firms betting they will be greedy and pull stupid stunts which keep or drive the shares down.

A takeover which puts someone on the theater/film business into the CEO position and removes the twins is the best thing that could happen to IMAX.

It is looking like that will cost a bloody fortune though.

    • Only stupid if they don't get away with the act! So far these guys seem to be well above reproach.

      • They're all above reproach until they're not!

Koslowski, Swartz, Skilling, Lay, and on and on... admired, respected...

And anyway just because they can legally do it should they?

Is it ethical and moral and right?

They have a duty to their shareholders and employees, and yes, to themselves and their families, but as far as I can see these two just revealed themselves for what they are... no damn better than the rest of them.

I don't trust them any farther than I can throw an Imax theater.
