Let's see if it can close above $28 today. I agree that will all of the hype and growth prospects the stock seems like it should be in the $30's by now but at least the technicals are improving. If the stubborn shorts finally start to cover this could easily blow past $30 on it's way to $32.
Glass implies it can be broken.....and there is a high probability that it will be.
In the latest Conference Call, Gelffy talked about a few nice-sized transaction deals in the hopper. All it will take is one of those to come to fruition to take us $30. IMAX will be near $30 / share by next weekend when they've already cleared $60M from IM3 and Star Trek begins to light it up again.....if not more (domestically, anyways).
"In terms of the year, the activity is good. I think I've said this before to you, Townsend, and to some others is that there is a few more significantly sized transactions this year that we're talking about, and those are always binary. So if they happen, it could turn out to be a very good year. And if they don't happen, it could turn out to be a year consistent with the last couple of years we've had."
I agree. I think all IMAX needs is a little nudge right now to break through $28 and start a run towards $30. There doesn't seem to be many sellers out there right now and with short interest still high any positive news would likely force them to cover.
