    Is univision dumping EVS shares?

    • Since they are in a very tight time frame to dispose of a very large block of shares {please read the post with the recommendation} I would think that EVC management has to move quickly. The daily volume is consistently about 250,000 to 300,000 shares. I don't know if there is a way that a company on the NYSE can deal directly with institutions, i.e. credit unions, mutual funds, etc. with out the lowly stock holders being informed. Then moving a large number of it's shares directly at a premium. EVC has an obligation to clear out over three million shares (I don't have the article in front of me, but it is a huge block) In the day to day operations EVC is unremarkable.

    • I don't see any sign of big blocks being traded. The daily volume is consistant with the paltry daily volume that I have seen for some time now. If it is true, and they are trading some treasury stock, that's fine indeed. That sure beats borrowing needed cash. Also if treasury when stock goes bye-bye, the cash return goes into cash assets and that is quite OK. Doling out stock options to the well compensated, to me just does not have the right smell. Especially with the annual sorry results they run by us.
