IDX is in the process of a big expansion here in
VT. New building and lots of new employees. They are
working very hard to use local talent, training if need
be. I would be interested to know other peoples
thoughts on how this and how it may effect the stock. From
a Vermonters POV, watching the news, IDX appears to
be growing with big plans.
Kent Gale and Ron Johnson do some pretty in-depth
survey work. You can get an overview of what customers
think of their healthcare software vendors on their
"I understand they are losing contracts." This is
not true. Implementation of some contracts has been
unfortunately delayed, but not out of dissatisfaction with the
company or its products. Y2k, etc.
IDX is the
acknowledged preeminent provider in its field.
I hope you are aware that this kind of
misinformation can result in legal action being taken against
you by the company.
There have been several
examples (incl Raytheon) where insiders or people giving
incorrect informantion on message boards, in an attempt to
affect the stock price, have been sued. Yahoo is obliged
to reveal your identity.
two respectable firms upgrade, many have started
with buy or strong buy ratings. a $50 dollar co that
appears to be expanding their presence in the market and
has a sound management. this co lost almost 70% of
its value over a span of two weeks. many of the sell
orders are b/c margin calls. unfortunately, that's
really a downward pressure. what do you think will
happen if the ceo come out and says, "we made a mistake
in calculating our profits..." then we'll see this
baby jumping 10-15 overnight! the prospect of this co
is still bright, despite the recent price decline.
keep strong folks. MM won't leave this open for long!
