Let's not forget that last year CytoSorbents received a $3.8 million five year DARPA grant as part of its “Dialysis-Like Therapeutics” program to treat sepsis to remove cytokines and bacterial toxins. So we are already on DARPA's radar.

From what I gathered reading the article and visiting their vebsite, it would seem to me that the company is focused on dialysis and portable units. Not sure if they would be a competitor of Cytosorbents or not without violation of Cytosorbent's patents.
Surprised CTSO was not pulled into this, but maybe its a case of one hand of our gov. not knowing what another hand is ALREADY doing.???? Hope someone from CTSO is working to OFFER their help and expertise. Seems a big waste to be trying to reinvent a very complicated/DIFFICULT wheel.
