Twas a little disconcerting but I imagine in the early stages it is normal to be posturing as negotiations get underway. Yet given our still fragile economy, I hope both sides come to an early and mutually satisfying agreement - Teamster concerns notwithstanding - there will be no jobs period if the company is left mortally wounded because of inflexibility on labor's behalf. Management must also realize there's been hurt all around in this company over the past few years.
The time is now for a win-win ... we don't want another Hostess on our hands.
Are there websites available to track the progress of labor negotiations?
An equitable agreement between both parties must be for ABFS to continue it's stellar performance over the last couple of months. The share holders have really taken a beating over the last year. Let us hope that their concluded agreement leaves all parties reasonably satisfied.
