    Email to BTGC IR, 1/2/03

OK, for the whiners on the board, I just sent the following to BTGC IR. Will share what I get back if anything...

    BTGC IR:

For over the last five years I've held 3000 shares of BTGC stock purchased at $16.25. After buying my shares there has been only one time period lasting about one week in which I could have sold my shares near $16 to recoup my losses. The share price today is around $3.30 and hasn't even been above $10 for close to a year. Some answers to the following ASAP would be appreciated:

    1) What is BTGC doing/planning to do to improve promotion of this stock to investors on the street? (PR, News Releases, upcoming events, etc)
    2) What is BTGC doing/planning to do to improve communications directly to it's shareholders?
    3) What is BTGC doing/planning to do to increase shareholder value of BTGC stock? How/when will you be communicating this to us?
    4) How is the BTGC operations plant in Israel being impacted by current and past hostilities from neighboring countries (war). How much of a threat is this to BTGC stock right now and in the future?
    5) Is BTGC still reinvesting profits/capital into this Israel plant or other foreign nations not on US soil?
    6) Why does BTGC still have a biotech name when it really isn't a biotechnology stock?
    7) What new product developments on the horizon may help the BTGC share price and when?

    • Hypothetical reply, I hope this isn't too accurate but won't guarantee anything.

      Dear kg valued bagholder,

We are glad that you invested so much in btgc and held so long. Without bagholders such as you, our stock would be even lower. Normally we wouldn't care but we have options to sell periodically. Suffice it to say that our option money is put to good use buying luxury items and expensive cars and houses.

In regard to your concerns about the future, HOLD ONTO THAT BAG, DON'T LET GO OF THE BAG, OMIGOD, WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T LET GO OF THE BAG!!!!

We will get back to you on your other substantive points some day maybe. Your buddies in IR.

OK, I'll sell the "bag" and send you my IRS tax cosequences. (You think my situation's simple don't you meatheat)

      • Smart ass remarks such as the one you made in regards to the gentlemen that sent the email to BTGC is in very bad taste. It really shows the quality of individual that you are. I've got a comment for you. If you think that BTGC management, etc is so bad why the hell do you own the stock. Who is the dumb one, someone that owns a stock they think is so poorly run, or someone that owns a stock that thinks it has growth protential. I guess you have never been what you called a BAGHOLDER. You are probably a guy that has never held a stock more than 30 days and always made money...YEA. Why don't you go hangout on the ENRON board or something.

What does the above have to do with IR? I doubt BTGC cares at what price any of us bought shares at. Your statement about there being just a week you could have sold your shares near $16 is not based on facts. There were 31 days (6+ trading weeks) in a 3 month period you could have sold at or above $16.25. The link below shows those days in the 12/28/99 - 3/23/00 period.

As far as your questions, hopefully you'll get answers. However, why not pick up the phone and call BTGC? I've done that in the past and had my questions answered.

In any event, my 2 cents on some of your questions.

      1) ... "PR, News Releases, upcoming events, etc)".

You do understand that press releases cost money to issue. And if there is no news to report they can't issue PR for the sake of issuing PR.

      2) "What is BTGC doing/planning to do to improve communications directly to it's shareholders?"

Not sure about you but I get the annual report as well as quarterly updates. That is decent communication (to shareholders) in my opinion. In addition there is the web site to check out for updates on products. What more do you want?

      3) "What is BTGC doing/planning to do to increase shareholder value of BTGC stock? How/when will you be communicating this to us?"

I assume first and foremost they continue to try to execute against their internal objectives and plans. The Rosemont acquisition will be accretive to earnings as well. Again, it's not just BTGC that's taken a hit. The NASDAQ is down close to 75% from the highs in early 2000.

      7) "What new product developments on the horizon may help the BTGC share price and when?"

From a link (interview) a while ago they stated Puricase has a potential for sales of $100 million and they're shooting for bringing it to market in 2004. BTG-271 is targeted for 2005 and has a potential for $150 million. Last, the biggest potential seems to be with Prosaptide, where they estimate potential sales of $300-400 million.

Again, if you want answers I'd suggest calling them on the phone.

      • dhohhi,

"What does the above have to do with IR?"
What doesn't it have to do with IR? A = If they don't care about disgruntled long term shareholders losses then who in the Co should?

"Your statement about there being just a week you could have sold your shares near $16 is not based on facts." A = God, you guys just can't resist being anal and correcting me on this, trying to negate the point. What's you're real goal here? Do you work for BTGC? Point is there's been a tiny little window during the last 5 years to sell at $16. I could have looked up the exact details on this (which I have done in the past) but didn't feel the need to be exact to get the point across. Oh and on your "31 days", I'd dispute that but don't and won't take the time to disprove you.

"However, why not pick up the phone and call BTGC?" A = Too cheap. Remember I'm poor. You want to pay my LD phone bill for that?

"You do understand that press releases cost money to issue. And if there is no news to report they can't issue PR for the sake of issuing PR." A = So, I guess MSFT, SUNW, Dell, etc., - they just sit on their laurels until they have some news to advertise/PR their business!?!?!?

        2) "What is BTGC doing/planning to do to improve communications directly to it's shareholders?" "the annual report as well as quarterly updates." "In addition there is the web site" A = These are the bare minimum required. Web site doesn't have much. Requires a pull. What do shareholders want - want them to push info to us and MORE!

        increase shareholder value
"I assume first and foremost they continue to try to execute against their internal objectives and plans." The Rosemont acquisition will be accretive to earnings as well." A = I'm not too interested in what you - dhohhi "assume" that is unless you work for BTGC!?

"Again, it's not just BTGC that's taken a hit. The NASDAQ is down close to 75% from the highs in early 2000." A = My 5 year period goes back and includes the NAS bubble of 1999 - 2000, a period when all NAS stocks were screaming high while BTGC remained a piece of shit. (like that undignified emotionally unstable lingo)

        7) "What new product developments on the horizon may help the BTGC share price and when?" A = Sincere usefull info from you on this - thank you.

Once again, I'll share whatever answers I receive as factual info from the co, if I get any (without calling).
