Sim Fass has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Company and President of BTG-Israel since May 1984 and as Chairman of the Board of Directors since March 1997. He has also been a Director of the Company since August 1983. Dr. Fass served as Chief Operating Officer of BTG-Israel from August 1983 to May 1987 and as President of Savient from May 1984 to May 1999. From April 1980 to August 1983, he was Vice President, General Manager of Wampole Laboratories, a division of Carter-Wallace, Inc., a company that manufactures health care related products. Prior to that, he held various positions at Pfizer Inc. from September 1969 until March 1980, including Director, Marketing Research and Planning, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, and Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Pfizer Diagnostics Division of Pfizer Pharmaceutical and Group Marketing Manager of Pfizer Laboratories. Dr. Fass received his Ph.D. in developmental biology/biochemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
But seriously, this company is underappreciated, much like some humor. Having been in and out of this company for years, I can empathize with the frustration. Having worked for a large pharma for about most of my career, it would seem that what they need is some cash from the larger companies to get these products onto the market. Some nice niche offerings.
BIG DEAL! For some reason, the co's you name, that Sim worked for didn't keep or promote him. IMO he is either a crook or very incompetent and should not have a seat on the svnt board, or hold any position with any publicly traded co. [IMO only] I will vote my shares against him. Did someone PAY you to defend him?
