oh how the mighty are falling. you had to know this was coming. all that money. all that power.
all that ATTITUDE!
i've got 5 bucks that says elin took a 9 iron and put a divot in his face, after he fessed up.
of course, we'll never know the truth because after all, he's tiger woods.
huskys: don't be sorry you brought this up, this is the 1st time I have had a post deleted by Yahoo since the Chris Clement - YOU NEED TO BE FIRED - days....feels just like old times....oh & of course Chris/MCJ is still around...just MO....old egos die hard....all imho
< his actions on the course raised questions long ago. >
I agree -- but we must be getting old. I remember when golf was NOT a raucous event, when there wasn't a gallery made up of people who had no clue about golf. I've been known to swear now and then around he house but guys, mainly younger ones on the tour, including Tiger who utter such after bad shots make me wish for the 'good old days'. And the emotional outbursts show a lack of emotional control and/or self restraint. Perfect example of the opposite, and what class is all about was Tom Watson at the British Open. Almost winning at age 59. Did he swear after his approach on 18 bounced over the green? No. Did he throw his club? No. Did he do either after he missed the par putt? Nope. And he conducted himself with class after losing to Cink in the playoff.
Enough for my golf ranting for today ...
<Did you see Jesper Parnevik's comments today? I hope he and Tiger aren't paired in any tournaments in 2010.>
yes i did. and it's not just Jesper.
i guess i love the game too much. IMO he's done. and it's not like i'm enjoying the best golfer going down. his actions on the course raised questions long ago. that's what makes jack's record so remarkable. he matured into a great man while winning, a task not easily seen these days...
i'm sorry to all board members i brought this issue up.
huskys: looks like I was Yahoo edited on my last reply to this thread....imagine that, all I did was quote the name of a popular selling CD title with a potential word change.....have to believe they are filming it now.....
<His biggest injury is his EGO I believe.>
give that man a schlitz. make that a six pack...
after that maybe boone's farm for a after dinner aperitif...
i drove through iron city pa. i have pennsylvania bluestone all over my house and fire place. can't drink and drive so i never tried it...
re: Milwaukee's Best
Ever heard of Falls City, Iron City -- from KY and PA respectively.
I tried NOT to drink that stuff too much but when in college you drank about anything. Got hooked on the good stuff out of Latrobe, PA (Rolling Rock) -- oh wait, another golf connection as Latrobe is the home of Arnold Palmer and also enjoyed a few Genesee Cream Ales (out of upstate NY I think).
I see Tiger canceled due to injuries .. I say "BS". His biggest injury is his EGO I believe.
