Savient Website is Up w/ two new IR Document Updates
1) News wire released today, "ongoing KRYSTEXXA® (pegloticase) post-marketing surveillance data describing the long-term safety data for KRYSTEXXA will be presented at the 2013 EULAR Congress in Madrid, Spain June 12-15. The two posters describe a decrease in the rate of reported infusion reactions (IRs) during the post-FDA approval period in the U.S., as well as lessons learned from U.S. clinical experience about the safe and effective use of KRYSTEXXA."
2) new SEC document signed by a Timothy D. Armour - Sr VP / Capital Research Global Investors
: "Form SC 13G/A
Amended Statement of Beneficial Ownership"
Wondering why yesterday's discovery of Savient's recently filed ""Form SC 13G/A
Amended Statement of Beneficial Ownership" gernerated so little interest/discussion on this topic or anywhere to date on the SVNT Msg Bd?!?!?!?!? I mean it's not exactly insignificant news that SVNT just lost Capital Research ("ceased to be the beneficial owner of more than five percent of the class of securities"). Doesn't anyone here have any more to comment on that? kg
"Form SC 13G/A
Amended Statement of Beneficial Ownership
If this statement is being filed to report the fact that as of the date hereof the reporting person has ceased to be the beneficial owner of more than five percent of the class of securities, check the following: [X] "
In other words Capital Research Global Investors sold all their shares, on May 31.
As for the significance of either of the above two news events and their announcement today, just one day before the 6/13/12 Annual Stockholders Proxy Meeting - I HAVEN'T THE FOGGIEST! Here's some guesses:
1) The news wire "2013 EULAR Congress in Madrid, Spain" just happens to be going on right now "June 12-15". But why the sudden announcement and just how important to Europe and NICE - WHO KNOWS?
2) I have no experience with a "Form SC 13G/A" so I don't know know for sure what it's for or why it's been filed. I'm guessing Savient for some reason finds it necessary to tell us that the SVNT Shrs that Capital Research Co holdes are not held "with the effect of changing or influencing the control of the issuer of the securities" (Savient). Takeover protection? Dunno? Another guess, probably wrong, is that Savient just secured some more needed capital from a Capital Research Co....
