Not true. Texaco was bought for upstream reserves at $11 a barrel. Smart money buys assets when assets are depressed. Now is the PERFECT time to buy natgas assets. Will not help me unfortunately. I am in UPL at $45. Every once in a while I listen to a maniac named Jim Cramer and I pay for it. A stopped clock is right twice a day (analog, anyway). He is still aspiring. the way to play natgas is to play the infrastructure, which moves with usage and not price.
but I am not going to sell UPL here because from here I think it goes up a greater percentage than the market from here. asset intensive stocks have great swings both ways because they cannot stop on a dime.
Even dumb companies go both ways, like Alcoa. UPL is very well run. When speculators can no longer make money running nat gas down they will run it up and then i will get out.
