Less dosage for slight better results (ala z-max). My questions are, what are the next steps? Do they seek a marketing partner for US and Asia? What if they don't get one? How far is FDA approval, timewise? Is that the next step? You all understand drug life cycles better than I. The zacks report refers to low risk.
Bayer is their distributor for Asia. Expectations is for an EU partner any time soon, and with recent additions to staff (marketing manager) several possibilities for the American market exist.
FDA is expected for Ted sometime earlier this year if not bfr. given the new GAIN act's fast track rolling NDA submissions for the drug. Current topical indications for Tedizolid could get early approval. The recent Cubist, Trius combo patent resolves treatment resistance problems of daptomycin for bacteremia, extending Cubist's patent protection with an already extended patent for Tedizolid under it's fast track, Gain act status. With Ted poised to replace Pfizor's Zyvox in fighting staph resistant strains, not to mention Trius's wide spectrum (gram negative) pipeline GyrB/ParE ( GSK has just been awarded $200mil from BARDA to research) and all the above mentioned catalysts, this pond play, loaded with possible buyouts, partnerships and pipeline launches is potentially a bonanza.
Why the take down in SP you ask? The MM is a nasty beast that lives in Mrs Alfaski's out house up in Pugwash Junction.
no fears.... exhibiting forbearance is key... investors should consider themselves lucky that one can still load up TSRX at this price before the inevitable boom.. just like loading up in 2012 with SNTS and VRX.. time goes by fast... invest wisely, be patient and enjoy the big booms ahead!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
People can be very shortsighted, including me. I owned PCLN at 24 back in 2002 and sold it for a "big" gain at 43. Now it's at 802. I learned my lesson. I'm lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng TSRX, SRPT and ACAD. Very comfortable watching them gyrate....but gyrate UP
I am long, but it may be awhile before there is significant movement upward. Siamesekitty said it best. The regulars here seem to have a good understanding on how this and other potential drug related stocks cycle, thus a lot of day trading causes the price to fluctate. Good way to get burned by a drastic move upward. I see someone flamed you. Quite frankly more interest and dialog on this board is a good thing.
Some are antsy and think they can find a fresher pond. TSRX will be huge in 1 year (some think $12-15 is reasonable, IMO). 1 year is an eternity for some here. Not for me, I have done this before and better to be early on the filing and PDUFA run. JMO
