Sounds as though it could be a serious inhibitor, at least to near term upside, since the big boys will need to figure out how much impact this side effect will have on overall sales. Mao inhibitors are still commonly taken-if a particular anti-depressant has the desired effects the patient is left on them for yrs. Look at Valium. I know people who've been taking that drug for 20 yrs. I don't know if Valium is a MAO Inhibitor but my point is that there are millions of people taking MAO Inhibitor meds. that want to stay on them & won't change unless they absolutely have no choice. I liked Trius until now- am uncertain will wait for the dust to clear! My opinion!
You are ignorant. Go to TSRX site and do some DD. Cramer didn't say that about MAO. What about Valium? C'mon, that is a crazy statement. You don't even know what an MAO inhibitor is or that there are new drugs to replace them. Many Dr's will not prescribe MAO because you even have to watch what foods you can eat with them. A 6 day treatment with TED will not be an issue. If it is a matter of life and death the MAO would be discontinued.
My next concern, & yes I'm in, is that insiders continue to sell. They may be relatively small sells ,how ever, if the " inside scuttlebutt" was showing near term good news ,esp. a takeover as has been rumored on this message board, insiders would be backing up the truck or at least not continuing to sell. It could just be that good things take a little longer & we will need to show a 6-to 1 yr. waiting game for things to further develop. I'm close to the backing out for a time stage myself. My opinion!
The announcement back in June was that ted did NOT react with MAO in any way, and so could be used with many other current drugs. In other words THERE ARE NO SIDE EFFECTS like you stated. If I'm wrong, please elucidate.
