I'm simply wondering why anybody would buy today, above 1.75
It doesn't make any sense to me. I can see buying VTSS....a company I've liked for a long time, but never had shares.
Why buy at a higher price than the sale price?
Any serious comments appreciated.

  may be because you can not get in on the $1.75 a share deal any more.
