    Yo QVC

    Why not renegotiate your carriage deals with the MSO's?

    Why should QVC pay anything for carriage when AMZN pays nothing to the same MSO's for Broadband?

    The 3 publicly traded homeshop nets have lost 82+% of their value since August; a similar group of dot.com etailers have lost 60%.

    Why? QVC operates with 2+x's the AMZN margin and generates 30% of sales on the web.

    The homeshopnets have been asleep at the wheel for too long; relying on the same ol same ol.

    • But the difference is that the cable presence is what drives the website clicks...People that aren't familiar with QVC would likely not consider using QVC.com in lieu of Amazon...
      The prices that are paid to the MSO's are for favorable channel placement - - Since HSN improved their channel placement, their revenue has increased substantially..
      I wouldn't say that the shopping channels have lost a step - It's just not realistic to compare QVC/HSN against Amazon...

      But at < $3 per share - - QVC is a ridiculous bargain..I'd add to my position as cash becomes available.
