DexCom, Inc. (DXCM) Message Board

    Buyout Value

Dexcom has got to be worth at least $20 / share to either J&J or Bayer. I have no idea why it sold off today. Anyone have any ideas why it moved lower?

    • Notice that it hit another new high today before the pullback. Not unusual, and next week it will probably hit more new highs. As for buyout, i'm sure several companies have interest, but Dex would rather go it alone for now, working instead in partnership with these companies.

    • I think Dexcom is a superb buyout candidate for either suitor, and J+J has been collaborating with them, execs have moved J+J to DXCM, etc. And the time is now for such a buyout, as health care visibility is better now than before since the reform legislation has passed. Further, the epidemic of diabetes shows no sign of abating. One can only hope that these price movements might have something to do with a possible buyout. Manipulation would certainly be possible if trading volume is as low as the message volume on this message board.....
