  • monieplautz monieplautz Mar 6, 2013 12:20 PM Flag

message boards have become so useless!

Why even offer message boards? They have become the playgrounds for morons, advertisers and those who are dying for an audiance to witness their geniius obsevations. What a waste.

    • do you think seeking alpha is any better? i do not.

    • for sure

    • Think Ms. Mayer is axing the message boards- probably for this reason + costs money to fix it and for what? I was on a mission to clean up the board on my favorite stock and I became the butt head. People with ego's like to brag and discuss all thier 'picks' also, making what is supposed to be discussion about a stock with supporting evidence or not, a side issue. At one point I discovered the bigger and better the stock, the worse the message board was (F, GE, HSY, etc). Alu board actually had some valuable information with great posts. Yoku is a pretty bad board with spam and twitts. Just for the sake of discussing Yoku, I think it is being manipulated by the big boy's so they can accumulate it at nice low price points- hence the volume and wild swings.

      Sentiment: Buy

    • Yahoo should use those similar to you as a criterion for who should be allowed to post. There are i.d's "Recreated" this morning to either replace a banned i.d. or to supplement multiple aliases which have issue dozens of worthless posts in a few hours........ Just like many problems, the solutions are clear, the issue remains the same; Be it the Gov, or Yahoo, they don't really want to change.

    • msg boards arr a means of release ann in dis case PrrrrahrupPU!! phonetic flatuant release

      Sentiment: Strong Buy
