Arbs already sold, they sell short CLDX, you buy CRGN, on completion of the deal the CRGN is converted to CLDX shares, that fill in your short. you come out with no position, you simply benefit from the discrepency in the deal price and actual stock price of the target at the time of purchase, which is usually discounted due to risk factors assoc with completion of the deal.
