This stock has gone way ahead of itself. The market cap of this stock is already $2.7 billion dollars. Even drug companies that finished Phase III may not get to this lofty valuation. Competitor NWBO only has $0.1 billion dollars of market cap and NWBO is also in Phase III for a similar research. This stock is 27 times more expensive than NWBO. The chance for this already overpriced stock to double from here is slim. NWBO is a better bet for a double, triple or ten-bagger.
Really?!?! You wasted my time by implying this stock was worth evaluating. I looked it up and immediately see your 10 bagger is around $3.50 and had traded as high as $25 but has been in steady decline for month-after-month. There are no analysts following and no funds investing. Sure the upside is huge. That is true with all stocks at a low price if they can attain a value placed on them by folks willing to buy them but this stock doesn't hold that promise at this stage. Maybe after they actually get through clinicals but they got a time to go. Go away!
Apparently you did not do the same checking with this stock. Did you check out how high this stock was traded for around year 2000 before it crashed? And this stock was only around $2 just a couple of years ago. Even lower than NWBO current price $3.50. There was no analyst following this stock when this stock was below $5 also. Institutions normally do not buy stocks below $5, so analysts usually do not bother to look into stocks below $5 too. You will not get a 10 bagger from stocks that all analysts already know. You can only get 10 baggers by buying undervalued stock like NWBO BEFORE analysts pile on. Just like buying this stock when it was below $5. That is the only way to get a 10 bagger, not by chasing bubbles.
Another thing I saw is NWBO is cash poor and another dilution is coming and at that low price is not good! It will need many more in the future! Another poster came here peddling IMUC a couple months ago and I will tell you what I told him! I forbid you to buy one share of NWBO when you can always get more CLDX! IMUC is still where it was then and CLDX is up probably $15!
While I'm not sure that NWBO has the same odds of approval as CLDX and, maybe, indeed deserve higher valuation, I agree that CLDX recent run (35% in 7 trading days) warrant some consolidation. In fact, IMO, the chart shows that seems we're now at top of intermediate trading range and, probably, will spend some time in trading range (I think $29-$34). All of this does not reduce CLDX long term potential and it is hard to argue with current momentum, but we have had before these periods of consolidation and survived. I'm sure this one will also pass..
(And as soon as CLDX goes down 50cents, we'll get visit from MABIO...)
NWBO and this company are both in Phase III for similar research, and both seems to be successful in their research so far. When this company market cap is already 27 times higher than NWBO, it clearly points to either this stock is way too expensive or NWBO is way too cheap. NWBO can go up 10 folds and still cheaper than this stock. On the other hand, this stock can crash 90% and still more expensive than NWBO. The risk reward clearly favors owning NWBO, no this bubble stock.
I like both and decided to buy into CLDX ~ $15 because was worried that NWBO was a bit too risky for my high growth portion of my IRA porfolio. I've since become a major believer in CLDX and have sold some but also continued to add and my price is now around $22 for 1,300 shares. I still like NWBO and have done pretty good so far but have reduced my positions lately to 2,500 shares during the CLDX rise. Also like ONVO and DDD at these prices and recently bought into them. Know this is chunk change to many but these make up ~ 15% of my investment savings and is obviously very important to me... CLDX had a great day today and after hours price and volume make me think will continue to climb!!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Just a valuation comparison. NWBO and this company are both on Phase III for similar research, but NWBO stock is dirt cheap trading like a Phase I stock price while this company stock is at bubble level trading like it is already making billion dollars of sales while in reality this company still has nothing just like NWBO. All the famous successful investors are value investors, not bubble chasers.
