    • I have been a Branch Manager with Raymond James Financial Services since 1997. Came from Pru. By far, the best move I've ever made. There is no reason to go anywhere else..
Don't discount the independent ownership (NOT owned by a bank or ins. co.), the technology is great , and most of all, the people who work at the home office are great.
Look no further...best of luck to you!

    • Some of the Wheat talent retired, why not
big bucks on the takeover. But they were
replaced from within. You think all firms
don't have annoyance fees. Nothing new.

    • I am under the impression that all the talent from Wheat left after First Union aquired the company. I have taled to some larger producers at Wachovia and they are in the process of looking at other firms. they say the payout is great, but they are costantly getting hit with annoyance fees. I know First Union was known for this and I am sure the trend is continuing.

I would never work for the crooks.

    • The biggest portion of offices for RJ is the independent side, under the Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) umbrella. They have a recruiting department which could answer any and all of your questions, instead of getting bits and pieces here. They have a contract, which you would need to really pour over to make sure you understand your responsibility and your payouts. Of course, recruiters will promise the moon if they want someone to join the organization and I'm not saying they would be deceitful...they just won't disclose any negative features except in response to a specific, direct question (which rarely occurs when there are dollar signs in a reps eyes).

      Good luck!
