I agree that numbers are way down, although they are still profitable and growing reserves. The company has pleanty of money and is holding up nicely. Many other financials had huge losses and writedowns and could not be profitable, until recently. RJF has done much better and is in a great position if financials begin to recover.
Although they stated that "We have remained profitable during the worst period that we have experienced since 1973-75. More importantly, we have continued to grow our platform throughout the downturn, which presages new plateaus in revenues and profits when economic conditions improve.”
