I think cutting sales staff, real producers, is narrow minded. Cutting the fat in "leadership" positions in FL and CA would be more in order. The air conditioning salesman in FL would be first on my list for a pink slip but, then again, he worked for Manny in another field before he ran that market into the ground. The White guy must go in CA. I would also favor a whole new organizational structure that empowers branches. Finally, the marketing is horrid. Probably the worst aspect of the whole melt down within the company. Large egos and their paychecks need to be replaced by smaller egos with the opportunity to make good money.
Well, typically, POOL sales went down after Sept., so, what can be a better time to do some cost cut. I would think it is a good sign that company is not trying to avoid the problem by aggressively address it.
