Finally a green day
I doubt it means much but it's nice to see the decline reversed however briefly. I suspect it will resume on Monday. However, as I've said before, as long as those distributions continue in the same range and I'm reinvesting it all I just keep getting more and more shares per distribution. At some point I'll get anxious but we are not near that point yet. GLL

Since you indicated your holdings in this fund keep growing, how large of a % of your portfolio do you like to keep in HY? Do you have a target? Just curious.- 2 Replies to blairdhff

I'm a pretty unscientific investor but I have roughly 25% of my portfolio in bonds, 14 -15% in this fund and about 10% in PTTRX. I'm quite certain that next week when I meet with my financial planner he will give me hell and tell me to lighten the load of HY and move some of it elsewhere. I must say, however that the steady nice dividends this fund gives and the convenience of the Vanguard 407b ( it's a rollover account) plus my own laziness or inertia has kept me in this for quite some time. I bought these shares in two lots, one at $4.12 in Dec 08 and then some more at about $4.90 or so in June 09 so at an average cost of $4.50 or $4.60 plus all the dividends I'm doing pretty well.
What's your story?
