    Coal Hauling Roads

Buyout is kind of a crapshoot IMO. What about the idea KSU was building a rail bridge to China via Mex vs LA? How's that working out?

    • Don't forget, one of, if not the wealthiest man in the world lives in Mexico. And you can bet he fancy's himself as a Warren Buffett type. At some point the port fees in Mexico are going to be extremely lower than what is charged in the U.S. Only thing hilding up a faster move in this area is the right-of-way. It's in need of major upgrading. Which will happen once enough pressure is there to do it. Keep in mind also that the unions for rail are becoming weaker all the time. You may have seen that Mexican trucks are now being allowed into the U.S. It's only a matter of time until you see Mexicans running frieght on American rails. The combination of these things WILL lead to the China-Mexican-U.S. connection. And one of the arguements that'll start the whole ball rolling will be Mexico wanting access to Canada via rail. NAFTA isn't dead, ya know? JKP
