    Strong Buy

Extremely High Volume Intraday...notice very little down-trends, few end of day profit takers...they want to ride this pony...afterhour, buyers again...Slight resistence will be found at 3.12, but with market momentum, Monday, may break and then to 3.50. Yes, when we move past 3.12 we're going for a big score...

    • I have a challenge for someone: can anyone explain why ATML is so great and going up so much, but many other chip related stocks like AMAT, TXN and INTC gain very little relatively speaking?

The typical response of "Because ATML is great and the other 3 are crap" doesn't cut it as an explanation.

Is there something unique about ATML that makes it the greatest chip company around now, or do people just randomly pick favorites to buy like crazy and this month's choice was ATML?

For the life of me I'll never figure out why certain stocks like ATML recover so quickly and are suddenly so loved, while other stocks like AMAT (or non-chip stocks like SUNW, NT, and LU) remain hated and despised. For every 10% ATML gains those other stocks might gain 1%. For every 1% ATML loses those 3 might lose 5%. So you see, ATML and several other hype stocks go up far more than they go down, while all the big cap techs that certain other people have go down far more than they go up. It's called fairness. After all, it's only fair that the most beaten down stocks go down the most and up the least, while the least beaten down stocks go up the most and down the least. Another phrase to describe the way these stocks act is "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer".
