I just find it comical that none of you geniuses comment on the fact that the company won the 2010 Frost and Sullivan Award for the best technological innovation in North America for their Attrius scanner. Do you geniuses not understand the significance? Do any of you understand what the change in reimbursement which benefits PET scanners to the detriment of the SPECT scanners understand what this means for Positrons ability to sell units when they walk into a hospital. Do you not understand that physicians and hospitals buy medical capital equipment based on reimbursement and their ability to make money on the equipment they purchase? Do you not understand that the Attrius has a monopoly on the PET cardiac imaging market? Do you not understand the govt by changing the reimbursement rates in 2010 is basically telling healthcare facilites they need to switch from SPECT scanners to PET scanners and this will benefit Positron? This is why sales are just beginning to take off. That and the Frost Sullivan award which speaks to the quality of the product. Every time a physician uses a Attrius for a procedure they will now be reimbursed much more per procedure and hence make more money then they would have per procedure in 2009. That is why the demand for the Attrius is increasing exponentially. Get a clue next time you invest.
