Mobius persistently sells into strength putting a cap on the stock. A few days ago we broke through 200 D MA but Mobius' selling took us down below it. Imo this could be a huge turnaround stock if they can grow revenues (40% GM) significantly while keeping SG&A costs down. But share price may stagnate until Mobius is out of the picture. All imo.
I'm hoping the Mobius Group intends to decrease its TRBM holdings to <10% and stop selling. If so, they are getting close. 10% of the current shares outstanding is roughly 2.15 million. As of March 29, the Mobius Group is down to 2.22 million shares.
Mobius is a VC that has nothing to do with Robert Fitzgerald's holding co. They acquired the shares when YDI Wireless used its stock to acquire Terabeam Corp. (private) for its cash horde. (The company was subsequently renamed Terabeam Inc.)
No, I bought it recently in the $2's. If it closes the gap, I make over $1 Million. My strategy is buying at depressed prices with turnaround potential. Once turnaround starts, anything is possible. All imo.
That's a longstanding gap. Have you owned TRBM stock since then? I'm thinking that's doubtful...just curious.
I agree. I've also found patience with an investment to be critical to success. I've owned TRBM stock for a year now. With the benefit of hindsight, I wish I had traded the stock rather than simply hold it; but it didn't reach my target.
Personally, I think Mobius is too impatient - maybe their portfolio manager has a personal objective of reducing position to a certain level by a certain date. I'm very patient. I like to buy stocks down substantially from their peaks, with turnaround potential. Some go nowhere, some go under, some produce incredible returns. I diversify and keep large cash position. Its worked out for me. If things go well with TRBM, then my goal is to fill the following gap:
I'm not sure how you get from Mobius selling 35,000 shares in two days, of the 2.5mm they own, to Mobius is trying to get out completely. What is the Mobius plan? Get out completely? Perhaps sell down to 2mm shares? 1mm? If they are trying to get to under 5% ownership for reporting purposes, then they will sell down to just over 1 million shares.
If TRBM gains momentum and has several 1-2 million share days, something like what occurred in March 2006, Mobius will likely be able to execute their trades and get down to whatever level of ownership it is targeting.
On the other hand, if TRBM disappoints and a sell-off ensues, I don't see Mobius killing the stock because they stopped selling below $2 and didn't start selling again until about $2.25-ish. Unless Mobius alters its trading pattern and trades below $2, it will not directly cause the stock price to drop below $2.
Mobius just sold off about 35,000 shares the past two days and we went up almost 10%. It looks like Mobius is just trying to get out all together. They dumped half of all their shares this past year. And it looks like they are actively selling EVERY day. If TRBM has good earnings the Institutions will just end up buying all of Mobius' shares. But 2.5M shares is still a hell of a lot of stock to burn through. It will take at least 6 months with some really good volume. My thoughts are that if revenues come in over $22M this qtr and they are close to breaking even with some positive guidance then we will double from these levels, if not then the added selling along with the "Mobius" factor will kill this stock. that's my take on TRBM stock. I'm long 10k shares as of right now.
Nasdaq requires all co's listed to have at least a Mkt Cap of $50M otherwise Nasdaq will issue a de-listing notice. I doubt Mobius or any institution for that matter will want TRBM de-listed. That will kill the stock price. Therefore, it is logical to assume there will be no heavy selling at this point in time. Little downside here but big upside imo.
Not true about the listing requirement. $50 million market cap minimum may or may not apply to a particular company listed on NASDAQ, depending on which of the two standards for continued listing the company uses. Here is a link to the standards:

They still own a ton of the stock. With the ADV at 55000, it will take a long time for them to exit. At least they are somewhat patient, not stomping the stock recently. I hope the numbers come in this quarter and the institutional response is good. Hopefully, the road shows have them on some radar.
I would hope that mgt or the board would offer some exit price to Mobius to get them out of the way. I think they own close to 3 million shares.
