up to the next dividend announcement or is NCT just going with the flow of the market? I vote run up as some other comparable companies are not making the steady progress as NCT.
Next Dividend 12.5 cents, a 25% increase JMHO.
PPS being driven by financial sector, today good(bad!) example.
Barring a rebound in the financials or a significant(at least 5c) increase in the divy, imo pps will continue to suffer.
Financials need to get out of the doghouse and that will only happen when the Euro debt situation and the global economy outlook improve.
All depends on the amount of carry forward tax losses if any into 2011. We will find out after they file their 2010 tax return this month. But we will not know until the 3rd QTR results are released in November. If there were no carry forward tax losses they would be paying $0.30 per QTR now
The loss carry forwards determine when they are REQUIRED to reinstate a full dividend. We will see the number in the next Q since they will have filed their 2010 tax return by September 15.
I would rather see them institute the full dividend now. They can pay $0.35 to $0.40 per quarter and get the stock to $10+. Then do a secondary at $10 or above and use those proceeds to grow the portfolio. At this point, everyone is in the stock at less than $10 so the new shares are not dilutive if they have investments to make consistent with what they have been doing.
Bobd-I've been wondering that myself. At first I thought it may be a little short covering since I noticed an increase in shorts by about 1% over the past month. Then I noticed a higher low on a down day and started to feel a run was beginning-that was at around $4.61 and after I bought more at $4.77. Now I believe it is the real run you mentioned going into the divy announcement. Would be great if they raised and wouldn't be surorised after Ken R's comments during the last cc but am not counting on it this quarter. Definitely by the end of the year....oh what the heck, I vote for a 15 cent divy announcement in September.
