    OT: Couldn't resist posting this:

    Dear Employees:
As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that
Barrack Obama is our President and that our taxes and
government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate
for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%.
But, since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state
of the economy, we will have to lay off sixty of our
employees instead. This has really been bothering me since
I believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who would have
    to go.
So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and found sixty
'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and
have decided these folks will be the ones to let go. I can't
think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for
    change......I gave it to them.
I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

    • kind of get it. But suppose Obama wasn't president, I suspect most of the economic downturn will still have occured (the drivers were way before his time).

How many employees would this CEO have had to lay off, and would would have been his criteria for laying them off...in your opinion ?

PS, not an obama fan, just find the political mud slinging a bit silly. The reason we are in this economic mess is wholesale greed of everyone, in my opinion.

    • Well Bob, those responses were illuminating. I ASSUME the mythical CEO is reflective of your views and as an employer of about 200 people in a very competitive business field I am very concerned with the impact of the next Obamacare step when my companies hit their healthcare renewals towards the end of the year. I can find a lot of sympathy for the viewpoint. I am happy to participate in a couple companies that benefit in the govts near zero cost borrowing but I certainly don't appreciate that it comes from effectively a 90%tax on every typical citizens savings account across the country. Out of the pockets of the middle class and into the pockets of the elite. Obviously a lot of people here love the concept.

      Sentiment: Buy

    • Typical garbage from a brain-dead dittohead On Jan 10 2009, George W Bush's last day in office NCT stood at 51 cents a share. After four years of Obama gettuing people back to work and getting teh finacne industry back on its feet, NCT stands at $11.. You should kiss Obama's feet and you can kiss my #$%$ moron

      • Thanks for showing the board what an idiot you are!

      • Getting people back to work? Huh? The unemployment rate is nearly 8% and the labor participation rate is the lowest ever. Getting the finance industry back on its feet? How many bank failures were there from 2009 to now? The Fed's QE is responsible for most of the gains in the stock market. Does NCT management get any credit or does it all go to the president? Finally, before you declare this president's 8 year term a success, you might want to wait until the last day of his term. At one point during Bush's term, the market also was at a high and home prices were booming. Will history repeat again?

    • What GREAT message to incite the people to vote more Democrats into office. After all the wreck and ruin business has inflicted on the country with its greedy irresponsibility since 2008 the last thing it needs to do is to turn public opinion against it even more than it already is.

    • Does anyone seriously believe this is real?

    • So we went back to a prior law which, in my opinion, was pretty bearable. Corporate taxes have not been touched, only individual tax rates. Now, if I had my company organized as an S-corporation, only my flow through net income would be taxable. This amount is after wages and all expenses! So the idea that some people ahve to be let go is a myth. C-corporations taxes have not gone up.

And I voted for Obama and I am very fully employed with a great job. Top 1%!

    • There were a few typos so I corrected them....

      Dear Employees:
As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that
Barrack Obama is our President and that MY taxes will increase resulting in my not being able to buy yet another vacation home. To allow me to continue my extravagant lifestyle, our prices would have to increase by about 10%.
But, since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy and I still need to be richer than Joe Blow CEO, we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead. This has really been bothering me since all I know is that I really deserve this money and I didn't know how to choose who would have to go.
So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and found sixty 'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks are going to be the ones who's fault it is that my taxes went up. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem, I mean, look at it my way... I really need this f$&*^^% money and I need someone else to blame and to fire.
I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic from my new Helicopter as I hang my butt out the door and take a big poo on everyone else I didn't fire.

    • How sad if this CEO didn't understand the cost of doing business in different climates. If it is the case then he should have innovated a little more. More and more I hear comments like this and have decided part of corporate america has lost focus and now concentrates on profit by agenda. Our structural issues are more in kind to a mindset that I have I will. Too bad this CEO only employs illegal immagrants anyway. I think twice when I hear a CEO call his employees family. In my mind that just means servants.

    • If only this were true, I must say however that most of those stickers I see are people who do not want work
