He's obviously inexperienced with stocks and the market in general. Maybe he bought this thinking that things were going to continue to rise and rise? Maybe he does not see that future dividend increases were already priced in (when this was over $11)?
Go read the "Quarterly Supplement – Fourth Quarter 2012" on NCT's Web site. They never "promised" that the spin-off would close in Q1. See page 9 "Spin‐Off Update." They clearly state that it's their "intent to spin‐off" and that the spin‐off is subject to certain conditions, such as the Securities and Exchange Commission declaring the registration statement relating to the spin‐off effective. The later has not yet happened.
NCT also stated that they anticipate paying about $1.06 total per year. Until the market sees this, it should be taken as a forward-looking statement -- not a "promise."
You have a stock that is paying a relatively stable 8%. Now is the time to be patient -- and that's never easy.
Bob: A viable alternative could be that he has a naked option expiring on Thursday and he went the wrong way, for the short-term, and potentially could loose much (assuming he has any real money in the stock)...
I prefer gogo's initial response of just putting him on " ignore" ; one may than read the board without necessitating having to go through his pointless banter... (If a paid shill he makes money everytime someone responds to him/her) - IGNORE negates that potential...
He's a small player that's watching his stock go down.
The stock should be doing better and has been very weak for the past few days.
I suspect this fellow is in the red, because if he wasn't he could just sell and walk away.
This stock should be doing better.
