Today is x-div date, and they announced SPO AH today -- I don't beleive in coincidence. This SPO seems to have been planned for some time. That tells me that they have a deal in place and that they will need the cash. You could announce thje deal and hope for a higehr pps -- but then you take a big risk if the market sells off more. No, mgmt is doing the right thing here.
I like the idea of acquiring senior housing, and equity REITs generally have a very stable cash flow.
