Natural gas being rationed in England

I just saw a blurb about this on the news yesterday. It's got to drive prices higher. So I googled it and here it is:

    • It may drive the price higher over there, but don't you understand that USA is an entirely separate market? We produce our gas domestically. So European inventories have zero bearing on prices over here. Do you remember last year Russia turned the gas to Europe off and they were rationing gas and people were freezing? It didn't cause a bump in Henry Hub price though.

      • There's definately too much supply.Every analyst covering nat gas agrees on that.
Once the cold season is over the price of nat gas will slide again. But it won't go back to the bottom.

There's a speculative premium being built into nat gas stocks. Most of them, like XTXI/XTEX have been trending up since March.
The market is telling you nat gas is probably in the first stage of a multi year uptrend.
Maybe it believes the government will finally create incentives - subsidies/tax breaks - or a pass a major program or demand will simply rise.

But the run in the stocks is a tip off the market expects something to occur that'll increase earnings.

    • It says "volumes" regarding the use of Natural Gas. There is plenty of gas, but not enough infrastructure to move the gas to meet the demand. Moving volumes of gas is just as lucrative as increasing the price.

This is what is currently happening here in the U.S. Natural Gas is already in high demand and higher inventories are required to meet it. Just get use to te inventory levels going to new highs every year to keep up with the volume.

This is why XTXI will hit >$20 in the next 6 months. But that is our little secret!

We have high inventories because demand is very low not the opposite. If demand was high, inventories would go down. You know, all the demand data is on the EIA website if you'd bother to look for it. Instead you'd rather stay in your little fantasy world.
