That means drones, of course. You already know that America's use of unmanned drones both domestically and in foreign theaters of war is on the rise, but what you may not know is that according to a 2012 Congressional Research Service Report the U.S. military is planning a 30% increase in its unmanned aircraft fleet right now.
Why would The Pentagon do this when the U.S. is already the worlds leader in drone use by far? It's because drones are no longer going to be used just for airborne survellance and ground target destruction. They'll be used for air-to-air combat. That's right: Drones will soon be doing our pilots' dog-fighting for them! In fact, this transition is already under way. A whole new generation of UAV's ( Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) is in design right now. Bigger drones that can fly faster. farther, and stealthier - and carry greater payloads and powerful air-to-air weapons.
The best part is that KTOS has a near stranglehold on a lot of this development. They're a major player in UAV command and control systems, specialized sensors, weapon-ization, avionics, and tons more.
